The Shure QX5 QT-AD10 AquaMic is a fully submersible wireless bodypack transmitter designed for use with Axient Digital series receivers. Engineered for demanding environments such as reality television, film production, and sports broadcasting, the AquaMic ensures reliable audio transmission in challenging conditions.
Housed in an IP68-rated aluminum casing, the AquaMic is dustproof and waterproof, capable of withstanding submersion up to 100 feet (30 meters). This rugged design makes it ideal for aquatic sports, on-location shoots, and other extreme environments.
The transmitter features a 6-pin LEMO connector, compatible with waterproof lavalier microphones (sold separately). It operates remotely via the QX5's Remote Control Audio System (RCAS) using the MicCommander module, eliminating the need for on-unit controls and enhancing its waterproof integrity.
With a selectable RF output power of 2mW, 10mW, or 20mW, the AquaMic offers up to 8 hours of operation at the 10mW setting. Its internal lithium-ion rechargeable battery ensures long-lasting performance in the field.
The AquaMic is fully washable and easily sanitized, ensuring hygiene and durability for repeated use in various challenging environments.
