The USB Capture HDMI Gen 2 connects a single HDMI 1.4a source to a host computer over USB 3.0, providing driver-free plug-and-play operation on all major operating systems. The 165MHz HDMI receiver accepts input resolutions up to 2048x1080 at 60fps 4:4:4, and the onboard 160M pixels/second video processing pipeline handles deinterlacing, up/down scaling, aspect ratio conversion, color format conversion, frame rate conversion, flip, and mirror without burdening the host CPU. For AV integrators, the device's automatic format detection means no manual resolution configuration is needed when the source signal changes — the device adapts on its own. The USB 3.0 interface is backward-compatible with USB 2.0 ports, which matters in retrofit installations where existing host hardware may not have USB 3.0 available.
