Product Overview

The Draper Ultimate Access XL V is a large-format, tab-tensioned, ceiling-recessed electric projection screen built for major venues such as conference centers, ballrooms, and auditoriums. This 240" diagonal NTSC (4:3) model drops from a large steel case with a motorized closure door and an independently motorized ceiling closure panel, so the screen and its housing are fully concealed above the finished ceiling when not in use. As a large-format ceiling-recessed projection screen with RF-welded tab-tensioning, it maintains a flat viewing surface across a very wide image for accurate front projection in high-capacity rooms. It is supplied by Creation Networks at authorized-dealer pricing with Draper's 5-year warranty.

Product Description

The Draper Ultimate Access XL V tab-tensioned electric screen extends the Ultimate Access platform to large-format installations that demand a very wide image and complete concealment. The steel case houses a motorized trap door, and an independently motorized ceiling closure panel opens into the case so the screen deploys with no visible fasteners. A contractor can finish the closure panel to match the surrounding ceiling for a clean architectural line. RF-welded tabs hold the surface flat edge to edge and eliminate the separation and stickiness common to older tensioning methods, which is critical at this scale where surface flatness directly affects image geometry. The screen supports a maximum image width up to 22' (671 cm) depending on surface selection, and the image area is fully framed in black with a standard 12" (30 cm) black drop at the top of the viewing area. The unit ships with a junction box and a 110V three-position wall switch for recessed wall mounting, and low-voltage control or video interface options can be built into the housing for below-ceiling access. This model is well suited to conference centers, ballrooms, auditoriums, and large all-hands rooms. Pair it with a compatible unit from our commercial projectors collection and a bracket or lift from our projector mounts and lifts collection to complete the system. Frequently Asked Questions

How large an image does the Ultimate Access XL V support?

The XL V is Draper's large-format Ultimate Access screen, supporting a maximum image width up to 22' (671 cm) depending on surface selection. This 240" diagonal 4:3 model is intended for auditoriums, ballrooms, and conference centers rather than standard meeting rooms.

Is the XL V tab-tensioned?

Yes. The Ultimate Access XL V is tab-tensioned with RF-welded tabs that hold the surface flat across a very wide image. Surface flatness is especially important at large-format sizes to keep image geometry accurate.

How does the ceiling closure system work?

The steel case includes a motorized trap door and an independently motorized ceiling closure panel that opens into the case. When the screen is retracted, the panel conceals the case, and a contractor can finish it to match the surrounding ceiling.

How is the XL V wired and controlled?

It ships with a junction box and a 110V three-position wall switch for recessed wall mounting. Low-voltage control or video interface options can be built into the housing for below-ceiling access and integration with a room control system.

What projectors and mounts are compatible?

The screen works with any commercial front projector matched to its 240" 4:3 format and the venue's throw distance. Browse our commercial projectors and projector mounts and lifts, or contact us for a throw-distance calculation.

What warranty and support are included?

The Ultimate Access XL V carries Draper's 5-year manufacturer warranty, supplied through Creation Networks as an authorized dealer. Contact us at creationnetworks.net for pre-sale specification help and post-sale support.
