Product Overview
The Draper Premier XL is a large-format, tab-tensioned motorized projection screen for auditoriums, houses of worship, and other large venues that require a big, flat image from a wall- or ceiling-mounted electric screen. This 220" HDTV (16:9) model is configured with the CineFlex White XT700V rear-projection surface, making it a fit for rear-projection setups where the projector sits behind the screen. As a large-format tab-tensioned rear projection screen, it holds the surface flat across a 16' (488 cm) wide image so content stays geometrically accurate edge to edge. All units ship through Creation Networks at authorized-dealer pricing with Draper's standard 5-year warranty.
Product Description
The Draper Premier XL 220" projection screen is built for integrators specifying an economical, heavy-duty electric screen at the top of the Premier XL size range. Its tab-tensioned design uses a cable-guided tab system on each side to hold the surface taut and flat, which is essential on a screen this large. RF-welded tabs create a durable seal that resists separation and stickiness and are warranted against separation for five years. The surface is housed in a fabricated extruded aluminum case with a curved front and L-shaped back/top cover in a black finish, and the image area is fully framed in black with a standard 12" top drop for correct placement. A tubular motor mounts inside the roller for quiet, instantly reversible operation, with an internal thermal overload protector and electric brake for reliable service in permanent installations. This unit is configured with the CineFlex White XT700V surface, one of Draper's rear-projection surfaces, so it suits venues where the projector is positioned behind the screen to keep the front of house free of projector light and noise. For AV system integration, an optional LVC-IV low-voltage controller allows 3-wire connection to third-party control systems such as Crestron, AMX, and Control4, alongside the standard 3-position wall switch. The screen mounts to a wall or ceiling using optional brackets, with image width supported up to 16' (488 cm) on this model. Pair it with a compatible unit from our commercial projectors collection and hardware from our projector mounts and lifts collection, or browse the full Draper projection screen lineup for alternate sizes, formats, and surfaces. Contact Creation Networks at creationnetworks.net for rear-projection throw planning, configuration support, and lead times.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this a front- or rear-projection screen?
This unit is configured with the CineFlex White XT700V surface, which is one of Draper's rear-projection surfaces. It is intended for installations where the projector is positioned behind the screen. Contact Creation Networks if you need a front-projection surface instead.
- Why is a tab-tensioned surface important on a 220" screen?
At this size, an untensioned surface can wave or curl and distort the image. The Premier XL uses a cable-guided tab-tensioning system that holds the surface flat across the full 16' (488 cm) image width, keeping geometry and focus consistent across the whole picture.
- What projectors and mounts are compatible?
The screen works with any commercial projector matched to its 220" 16:9 image size and your room's rear-projection throw distance. Browse our commercial projectors and projector mounts and lifts, or contact Creation Networks for a throw calculation.
- Can this screen integrate with a Crestron or AMX control system?
Yes. In addition to the standard 3-position wall switch, an optional LVC-IV low-voltage controller provides a 3-wire connection for integration with third-party AV control systems such as Crestron, AMX, and Control4.
- How is the Premier XL mounted?
It is a surface-mounted electric screen that hangs on a wall or ceiling using optional mounting brackets. The extruded aluminum case conceals the roller and motor, and the image drops with a standard 12" black top drop.
- What warranty and support are included?
The Premier XL carries Draper's standard 5-year limited warranty, supplied through Creation Networks as an authorized dealer. Contact us at creationnetworks.net for pre-sale specification help and post-sale support.
