Product Overview

The Draper Premier with ClearSound NanoPerf XT1000V is a motorized, ceiling-recessed tab-tensioned projection screen featuring an acoustically transparent viewing surface. The ClearSound NanoPerf XT1000V allows audio to pass through the screen material, enabling speaker placement directly behind the screen—the ideal configuration for dedicated AV suites, training rooms, and auditoriums where best-in-class audio-video alignment is required. The NanoPerf micro-perforation pattern is invisible from typical seating distances, maintaining a clean 1.0 gain image quality comparable to a solid Matt White surface. The Premier housing's lower profile makes it well suited for installations with limited above-ceiling plenum depth.

Product Description

Draper Premier Motorized Ceiling-Recessed ClearSound NanoPerf Acoustically Transparent Projection Screen

ClearSound NanoPerf XT1000V uses Draper's micro-perforation technology to achieve acoustic transparency while maintaining visual performance equivalent to a solid white screen. Perforations are distributed evenly across the surface to ensure uniform transparency, and the XT1000V base material delivers a spectrally neutral 1.0 gain response. The result is a screen that integrates cleanly with speaker-behind-screen systems, eliminating the need for side-fill speakers or compromises in audio-video alignment.

The Premier series features a lower-profile ceiling-recessed housing, making it the preferred choice when above-ceiling clearance is limited. Draper's case-now, screen-later installation method allows the housing to be set during rough-in construction, with the screen assembly snapping into latching brackets during AV commissioning. Four motor options are available: Standard, Quiet Motor, LVC-IV low-voltage control, and Quiet Motor with LVC-IV, enabling integration with virtually any control system.

Key Features

  • ClearSound NanoPerf XT1000V Surface (1.0 Gain) — Acoustically transparent micro-perforated surface; enables speaker placement behind the screen.
  • Ceiling-Recessed, Full-Concealment Design — Screen fully hides in ceiling when retracted.
  • Lower-Profile Housing — Compact case for limited above-ceiling plenum depth.
  • RF-Welded Tab-Tensioned System — Flat image plane; tabs warranted 5 years.
  • Case-Now, Screen-Later Installation — Housing installs during rough-in; screen snaps in later.
  • LVC-IV Low Voltage Controller — Available option; integrates with control systems via 3-button low-voltage interface.
  • Quiet Motor Option — Reduces operational noise for noise-sensitive environments.
  • Plenum-Rated, UL-Listed Housing — Approved for air-handling ceiling spaces.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the micro-perforation affect image quality?
No—the NanoPerf perforations are distributed at a density and scale that renders them invisible from typical seating distances. Gain and color fidelity are equivalent to a solid 1.0 gain white surface.

What speakers work behind a NanoPerf screen?
Any standard loudspeaker, subwoofer, or array system designed for speaker-behind-screen use. The screen's acoustic transparency is compatible with all commercially available theater and conferencing speakers.

How does the Premier differ from the Access V?
The Premier features a lower-profile housing suitable for installations with limited above-ceiling plenum depth.

Are custom sizes available?
Yes. Contact Creation Networks for pricing on custom sizes and 220V motor configurations.
