Product Overview

The Draper Premier (101639) is a tab-tensioned motorized projection screen that holds a perfectly flat viewing surface for distortion-free images for commercial AV integration. This configuration delivers a 109" diagonal 16:10 image on the Matt White XT1000VB viewing surface (1.0 gain, 180° viewing angle), making it well suited to conference rooms and lecture spaces. It installs as a wall- or ceiling-mounted motorized projection screen and ships with a standard 110-120V three-position control switch.

Product Description

The Premier is engineered for conference rooms, classrooms, and multi-purpose rooms that need an affordable tab-tensioned electric screen with a flat, distortion-free surface. Its tab-tensioning system with RF-welded tabs keeps the surface drum-flat across the full image area, eliminating the curl and waviness that degrade edge-to-edge focus. Endcaps form universal mounting brackets, so the screen mounts to a wall or ceiling without additional hardware.

The Matt White XT1000VB surface offers 1.0 gain and a 180° viewing angle, and it delivers neutral, accurate color on a vinyl-backed tab-tensioning surface. At 109" in a 16:10 aspect ratio, this size matches the throw distances and seating depths typical of conference rooms and lecture spaces. Maximum image width on this model reaches 12' (366 cm), and the case carries a UL listing. The screen is electrically operated by a tubular motor mounted inside the roller, instantly reversible with an electric brake, and can be paired with the Quiet Motor or LVC-IV low-voltage controller as factory-built options for AV system integration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose a tab-tensioned screen like the Premier?
Tab-tensioning holds the viewing surface perfectly flat, eliminating waves and curl so projected geometry stays accurate edge to edge — important for data, CAD, and fine text.

Can the Premier be recessed into a ceiling?
It is a wall- or ceiling-mounted screen, but an optional white aluminum ceiling trim kit allows a recessed installation; an added 12" black top drop is recommended in that case.

Which surfaces does the Premier support?
Matt White XT1000VB, Grey XH600V, CineFlex rear-projection surfaces, ClearSound NanoPerf, and the full TecVision ALR lineup. This SKU ships with Matt White XT1000VB.

How is the screen controlled?
A 110-120V 3-position (up/stop/down) wall switch with a 10' cord is standard; Quiet Motor, LVC-IV, and 220V options are available for AV integration.

What is the maximum image width?
Up to 12' (366 cm) wide; for larger images the Premier XL offers the same design up to 16' (488 cm).

What warranty applies?
UL listed and covered by Draper's 5-year warranty.
