Product Overview

The Draper Premier with Grey XH600V surface is a motorized, ceiling-recessed tab-tensioned projection screen designed for commercial AV installations requiring ambient light rejection in a lower-profile ceiling housing. The Grey XH600V surface delivers a 0.6 gain with ambient light rejection properties, making it the preferred choice for conference rooms, boardrooms, and classrooms where ambient light cannot be fully controlled and screen contrast must be maintained. The Premier housing's lower profile makes it suitable for installations with limited plenum depth. The plenum-rated, UL-Listed housing fits standard above-ceiling construction without additional enclosures.

Product Description

Draper Premier Motorized Ceiling-Recessed Projection Screen Grey XH600V Ambient Light Rejecting

The Grey XH600V surface uses a grey formulation to increase perceived contrast in rooms with moderate ambient light. With a 0.6 gain, the surface absorbs more ambient light than a standard white surface while reflecting projected content with enhanced contrast—making images appear crisper and more defined in boardrooms, conference rooms, and classrooms with windows or uncontrolled lighting. This is the surface of choice for commercial spaces that cannot achieve full blackout conditions.

The Premier housing provides full ceiling recessing for complete screen concealment when retracted. The bottom flange trims the ceiling opening cleanly without additional millwork. The motor-in-roller design keeps all mechanical components inside the housing. Draper's case-now, screen-later installation method allows the housing to be installed during rough-in construction before ceilings are closed. The Grey XH600V screen assembly is stored safely off-site and snapped into preset latching roller brackets and pin connectors when the space is ready for AV commissioning.

The RF-welded tab-tensioning system maintains a consistently flat image plane, with tabs warranted for five years against separation. The optional Quiet Motor reduces operational noise. The optional LVC-IV Low Voltage Controller enables dry-contact integration with Crestron, Extron, AMX, Control4, and other AV control platforms. Both options must be specified at time of order.

Key Features

  • Grey XH600V Viewing Surface (0.6 Gain) — Ambient light rejection grey surface; enhances projected image contrast in rooms with uncontrolled lighting conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Grey XH600V the right surface choice?
When ambient light in the room cannot be fully controlled. The grey formulation increases perceived contrast by absorbing more ambient light than a standard white surface, delivering a sharper, higher-contrast image in mixed-light environments.

How does the Premier differ from the Access V?
The Premier features a lower-profile housing suitable for installations with limited above-ceiling plenum depth. Both series are motorized ceiling-recessed screens with tab-tensioning, plenum-rated housings, and case-now, screen-later installation.

Can the LVC-IV controller integrate with Crestron or Extron?
Yes. The LVC-IV accepts dry-contact low-voltage inputs compatible with Crestron, Extron, AMX, Control4, and other building automation systems. Specify at time of order.

Is the Premier housing plenum-rated?
Yes. UL Listed as Suitable for Use in Environmental Air Space.

Are custom sizes available?
Yes. Contact Creation Networks for pricing on custom sizes and 220V motor configurations.
