Product Overview

The Draper Paragon V is a very large-format, tab-tensioned motorized projection screen and Draper's largest tab-tensioned model, engineered for auditoriums, performing arts centers, and other large venues. This unit is a 27' 6" NTSC (4:3) screen configured with a CineFlex rear-projection surface, supporting big-venue rear projection where the projector sits behind the screen. As a large-format tab-tensioned projection screen, the Paragon V holds a flat, geometrically accurate surface at sizes far beyond standard electric screens, up to a 24' (732 cm) image width on this model. All units ship through Creation Networks at authorized-dealer pricing with Draper's standard 5-year warranty.

Product Description

The Draper Paragon V large-format projection screen is a heavy-duty electric screen built for auditoriums, lecture halls, and performing arts spaces that need a very large image with a flat, professional viewing surface. Its tab-tensioned design uses a cable-guided tab system to hold the surface taut across the full width, and RF-welded tabs create a durable seal that resists separation and stickiness. The surface is housed in an extruded aluminum case with a white finish that can be ceiling-recessed or suspended anywhere in the structure, and a bottom closure panel provides easy access for service and maintenance after installation. The image area is framed in black with a standard 12" top drop for correct placement in tall rooms. An insulated motor delivers smooth, quiet operation suited to occupied venues, and control options include a standard 110 V 3-position switch, low-voltage modules and controls, or 220 V configurations for integration into a larger AV control system. This unit is configured with a CineFlex rear-projection surface, so it is intended for venues with a dedicated projection room or booth behind the screen. Optional wall brackets and a ceiling trim flange kit are available to finish the installation. Pair the Paragon V with a high-output unit from our commercial projectors collection and hardware from our projector mounts and lifts collection, or compare it against other large-venue models in the full Draper projection screen lineup. Contact Creation Networks at creationnetworks.net for structural mounting guidance, rear-projection throw planning, and lead times.

Frequently Asked Questions

How large can the Paragon V go?

The Paragon V is Draper's largest tab-tensioned electric screen and supports image widths up to 24' (732 cm), depending on surface selection. This unit is configured as a 27' 6" (330") NTSC 4:3 screen for large-venue projection.

Is this a front- or rear-projection screen?

This unit is configured with a CineFlex rear-projection surface, so it is intended for venues with a projection room or booth behind the screen. The Paragon V is also available with front-projection surfaces—contact Creation Networks to confirm the right surface for your room.

How is a screen this large installed?

The Paragon V's white extruded aluminum case can be recessed into the ceiling or suspended within the building structure, and a bottom closure panel allows access for service. Because of its size and weight, structural mounting should be coordinated with your integrator and structural engineer. Optional wall brackets and a ceiling trim flange kit are available.

Can it be controlled by a building AV control system?

Yes. The screen ships with a standard 110 V 3-position switch and can be configured with low-voltage modules and controls, or 220 V options, for integration into a larger AV control system. Contact Creation Networks for the control configuration that matches your system.

What projectors pair with the Paragon V?

Large venues typically use high-output laser projectors matched to the image size and rear-projection throw distance. Browse our commercial projectors and projector mounts and lifts, or contact Creation Networks for a throw and brightness calculation.

What warranty and support are included?

The Paragon V carries Draper's standard 5-year limited warranty, supplied through Creation Networks as an authorized dealer. Contact us at creationnetworks.net for pre-sale specification help, structural guidance, and post-sale support.
