Product Overview

The Draper Acumen XL V is a surface-mounted, tab-tensioned motorized projection screen engineered for large-venue commercial AV installations. This 208 3/8" diagonal model in 21:9 Ultrawide format is a 208" 21:9 ultrawide projection screen for panoramic content, side-by-side sources, and immersive presentation in auditoriums, broadcast environments, and command spaces. Its RF-welded tab-tensioning holds the surface flat for an even, wrinkle-free image across the full ultrawide plane. All units ship through Creation Networks at authorized-dealer pricing with Draper's seven-year warranty.

Product Description

The Draper Acumen XL V large-format projection screen extends the Acumen platform to image widths up to 18' (5.5 m), which this 208 3/8" 21:9 Ultrawide configuration uses to present a wide panoramic image. A lateral tab-guide cable system with RF-welded tabs maintains even tension across the full image width, keeping the ultrawide picture flat for accurate geometry with blended or native 21:9 sources. The surface rolls on a 5" (127 mm) diameter metal roller housed in a streamlined extruded-aluminum case 9-1/4" high by 8-1/8" deep, finished in white powder coat (black available on request). Because the Acumen XL V is surface-mounted rather than recessed, it ships with both floating wall brackets and ceiling suspension brackets, so the same unit can be wall- or ceiling-mounted without ordering separate hardware. A removable fascia provides direct access to the roller and motor for service. The low-voltage tubular motor is instantly reversible and includes an electric brake and thermal overload protector, and it ships with a built-in low-voltage controller and wall switch for straightforward control-system integration. This makes the ultrawide Acumen XL V well suited to auditoriums, broadcast studios, and command or briefing spaces that display panoramic or multi-source content. Pair it with a compatible unit from our commercial projectors collection and a bracket from our projector mounts and lifts collection to complete the system. Frequently Asked Questions

What is the 21:9 ultrawide format best used for?

The 21:9 aspect ratio provides a wide, panoramic image well suited to side-by-side content, blended sources, and immersive presentation. This 208 3/8" configuration delivers that on a single continuous tensioned surface.

What makes the Acumen XL V a large-format screen?

The XL V case supports image widths up to 18' (5.5 m), well beyond the standard Acumen V's 10' maximum, which is what allows this ultrawide 208 3/8" diagonal configuration.

Is this screen recessed into the ceiling?

No. The Acumen XL V is a surface-mounted screen. It installs on a wall or below the ceiling using the included floating brackets and ceiling suspension brackets, and does not require an above-ceiling recessed pocket.

What projectors and mounts are compatible?

An ultrawide surface is typically driven by a native 21:9 projector or by edge-blended projectors. Match the projector to your room's throw distance and mounting; browse our commercial projectors and projector mounts and lifts, or contact us for a throw and blending plan.

How does it integrate with a control system?

The screen ships with a built-in low-voltage controller and wall switch. The instantly reversible motor, with its electric brake and thermal overload protector, can be tied into most commercial control systems for trigger or contact-closure operation; contact us for integration guidance.

What warranty and support are included?

The Acumen XL V is UL Listed and carries Draper's seven-year warranty (USA and Canada), supplied through Creation Networks as an authorized dealer. Contact us at creationnetworks.net for pre-sale specification help and post-sale support.
