Product Overview

The Draper Acumen E is a surface-mounted, free-hanging motorized projection screen for permanent commercial AV installations in conference rooms, boardrooms, and training spaces. This 123" diagonal 16:10 configuration ships with the Quiet Motor option and the acoustically transparent ClearSound White Weave XT900E surface, making it well suited to acoustically sensitive rooms where loudspeakers sit behind the image plane. As a Draper Series E screen it is free-hanging (non-tensioned) and mounts to a wall or ceiling using the included floating brackets. All units ship through Creation Networks at authorized-dealer pricing with Draper's 7-year warranty.

Product Description

The Draper Acumen E 123" 16:10 electric projection screen with Quiet Motor (Part # 151104SAQ) is built for heavy commercial use and finished in a white powder-coat, with black available on request. The streamlined extruded-aluminum case measures 7-1/8" high by 5-7/8" deep and includes a removable fascia for straightforward service access. The Quiet Motor option uses a low-noise drive assembly that reduces operational sound compared with the standard motor, so the screen can be specified for executive boardrooms, broadcast studios, and worship stages where ambient noise must stay low. The motor is instantly reversible with an internal thermal overload protector, electric brake, and factory-set limits, and the unit ships with a built-in low-voltage controller and wall switch as standard; the optional LVC-IV low-voltage controller adds trigger inputs for Crestron, AMX, and Extron integration. The acoustically transparent ClearSound White Weave XT900E surface carries a 0.9 gain and a 180° viewing cone, delivering uniform brightness across wide seating layouts while allowing center-channel and surround audio to pass through the weave. Floating wall and ceiling brackets are included as standard for flexible surface mounting. Pair it with a unit from our commercial projectors collection and a bracket from our projector mounts and lifts collection. Frequently Asked Questions

How quiet is the Quiet Motor option?

The Quiet Motor uses a low-noise drive assembly that noticeably reduces operational sound compared with the standard motor. It is recommended for executive boardrooms, broadcast studios, and performance venues where ambient noise must stay low.

Is the Draper Acumen E tab-tensioned?

No. The Acumen E is a Draper Series E screen, which is free-hanging and non-tensioned. If your installation requires a tab-tensioned surface, consider the Series V Acumen V or Acumen Recharge V instead.

How is the Acumen E mounted?

It is surface-mounted. The case includes floating wall and ceiling brackets as standard, so integrators can attach it to a wall or suspend it from a ceiling and center the screen regardless of screen size.

Does this screen integrate with Crestron, AMX, or Extron control systems?

Yes, with the optional LVC-IV low-voltage controller. The screen ships with a built-in controller and wall switch as standard, and the LVC-IV adds low-voltage trigger inputs for common commercial AV control systems.

Can loudspeakers be placed behind this screen?

Yes. This unit uses the acoustically transparent ClearSound White Weave XT900E surface, which allows center-channel and surround audio to pass through the weave, so speakers can sit behind the image plane.

What warranty and support are included?

The Acumen E carries Draper's 7-year warranty (USA and Canada), supplied through Creation Networks as an authorized dealer. Contact us at creationnetworks.net for pre-sale specification help and post-sale support.
