Product Overview
The Draper Access V with CineFlex CH1200V surface is a motorized, ceiling-recessed tab-tensioned projection screen engineered for commercial AV environments where high contrast and image depth are the priority. With a 1.2 gain and a high-contrast fabric construction, the CineFlex CH1200V surface is designed for use with high-lumen commercial projectors in controlled or darkened lighting conditions—making it well-suited for dedicated boardrooms, executive presentation rooms, and training facilities where image quality is paramount. The plenum-rated, UL-Listed housing fits standard above-ceiling construction without additional enclosures.
Product Description

The CineFlex CH1200V is Draper's high-contrast viewing surface for the Access V series. Its 1.2 gain delivers brighter perceived images compared to standard 1.0-gain surfaces when used with appropriate projectors, while the high-contrast fabric enhances black levels and image depth in controlled-light environments. This makes it a preferred choice for dedicated AV rooms, high-stakes boardroom presentations, and training facilities where projectors are paired with professional AV control and lighting systems.
The Access V housing provides full ceiling recessing, keeping the screen completely hidden when not in use. This clean, flush-ceiling appearance is appropriate for executive-level commercial spaces where exposed screens or surface-mounted hardware are not desirable. The bottom flange trims the ceiling opening without additional millwork, and the internal sliding brackets accommodate varying screen sizes within the housing.
Draper's case-now, screen-later installation method allows the housing to be installed during the construction rough-in phase, with the screen assembly—motor-in-roller and attached CineFlex CH1200V surface—stored safely until the space is ready for AV commissioning. The screen snaps into preset latching roller brackets and electrical pin connectors, protecting the high-contrast surface from job site damage and allowing phased installation on large commercial projects.
The single-piece RF-welded tab-tensioning system maintains a flat, uniform image plane across the full screen width—critical for consistent focus and even illumination across a high-contrast surface. Tabs are warranted against separation for five years. The optional Quiet Motor reduces operational noise for meeting-sensitive environments. The optional LVC-IV Low Voltage Controller enables integration with Crestron, Extron, AMX, Control4, and other AV control and automation systems via dry-contact low-voltage inputs; it installs directly in the housing for below-ceiling access. Both options must be specified at time of order. Custom sizes and 220V motor are available.
Key Features
- CineFlex CH1200V Viewing Surface (1.2 Gain) — High-contrast fabric with 1.2 gain delivers enhanced image brightness and black depth in controlled-light commercial environments.
- Ceiling-Recessed, Full-Concealment Design — Screen fully hides in ceiling when retracted; bottom flange trims opening for clean architectural finish in executive and boardroom settings.
- Tab-Tensioned, RF-Welded System — Flat, uniform image plane across full screen width; critical for high-contrast surface performance. Tabs warranted 5 years against separation.
- Case-Now, Screen-Later Installation — Housing installs during rough-in construction phase; screen assembly clicks in later to prevent job site damage to the high-contrast surface.
- Compact Case Profile — 7-3/8" H × 8-1/16" D including trim flange; fits standard above-ceiling construction without custom framing.
- Quiet Motor Option — Minimizes operational noise in meeting-sensitive and broadcast-adjacent environments.
- LVC-IV Low Voltage Controller Option — Dry-contact integration with Crestron, Extron, AMX, Control4; built into housing below ceiling when specified at order.
- Plenum-Rated, UL-Listed Housing — Approved for environmental air-handling ceiling spaces; meets commercial building code requirements without additional enclosures.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the CineFlex CH1200V surface the right choice?
Best suited for dedicated presentation rooms, boardrooms, and AV spaces with controlled or dimmable lighting. Its 1.2 gain and high-contrast construction produce enhanced image depth and brightness when used with commercial projectors in darkened environments.
Can the LVC-IV controller integrate with Crestron or Extron?
Yes. The LVC-IV Low Voltage Controller accepts dry-contact low-voltage inputs compatible with Crestron, Extron, AMX, Control4, and other building automation systems. Specify at time of order to have it built into the housing.
Is the Access V housing plenum-rated?
Yes. The case is UL Listed as Suitable for Use in Environmental Air Space, meeting plenum-rating requirements for commercial air-handling ceiling spaces.
What is the case-now, screen-later installation process?
The housing installs during rough-in construction before ceilings are finished. The screen assembly is stored offsite and snapped in later to protect the CineFlex CH1200V surface from job site damage.
Are custom sizes available?
Yes. Contact Creation Networks for pricing on custom sizes and 220V motor configurations.
What warranty covers the Access V?
One-year warranty on materials and workmanship; five-year warranty on the RF-welded tab-tensioning system against separation.
