Product Overview

The Draper Access V is a motorized, tab-tensioned projection screen designed for ceiling-recessed installation in commercial AV environments. This configuration features a 226" 16:10-format image area with a CineFlex White XT700V viewing surface, 110V motor, and the LVC-IV Low Voltage Controller for integration with Crestron, Control4, Extron, AMX, and other commercial AV control systems. The 16:10 aspect ratio matches common laptop and desktop display resolutions, making it particularly well suited for boardrooms, training rooms, and corporate environments where computer-based presentations are the primary use case. The plenum-rated case is UL-listed for use in air-handling ceiling spaces.

Product Description

The Access V has been Draper's benchmark ceiling-recessed motorized screen for commercial AV integrators for over two decades. The "case now, screen later" installation method allows the housing to be set and wired during rough-in, protecting the screen surface from jobsite damage until finish AV work. The motor-in-roller assembly drops in via preset latching roller brackets and electrical pin connectors once the case is in place.

The CineFlex White XT700V surface delivers a 0.7 gain with a 180° viewing angle, well suited for large rooms with controlled ambient light where the audience spans a wide seating range. Draper's tab-tensioning system — cut from a single piece and RF-welded — maintains surface flatness across the 226" image area and is warranted against separation for five years. The bottom access panel redesign allows it to hang open during service or detach fully for maintenance without visible fasteners.

The plenum-rated case meets UL requirements for air-handling ceiling spaces. Built-in control options can be factory-installed. The case accommodates screens up to 20" wider than the standard case length. Custom sizes within the 16' maximum image width are available; contact Creation Networks for pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose 16:10 over 16:9 for a conference room?
The 16:10 aspect ratio matches the native resolution of most laptops and desktop monitors, reducing letterboxing when displaying computer-based content. For rooms where laptop presentations are the primary use case, 16:10 makes better use of the screen area.

What AV control systems does the LVC-IV support?
Crestron, Extron, AMX, Control4, and most commercial platforms that output low-voltage relay or RS-232 signals. No proprietary gateway required.

Can the case be installed before the screen arrives?
Yes. The case installs during construction rough-in; the screen drops in later via preset latching brackets and pin connectors.

Is the Access V case plenum-rated?
Yes. UL-listed as "Suitable for Use in Environmental Air Space."

What is the warranty?
One year on the product; five years on tab tensioning. Contact Creation Networks for service support.

Are custom sizes available?
Yes. Within the 16' (488 cm) maximum image width. Contact Creation Networks for pricing.
