Product Overview
The Draper Access V is a motorized, tab-tensioned projection screen designed for ceiling-recessed installation in commercial AV environments. This configuration features a 220" HDTV (16:9) format image area with a CineFlex White XT700V viewing surface, 110V motor, and the LVC-IV Low Voltage Controller for integration with Crestron, Control4, Extron, AMX, and other third-party AV control systems. The HDTV 16:9 format is the native widescreen standard for video conferencing systems, modern projectors, and digital content, making this configuration a natural fit for boardrooms, training rooms, and commercial conference spaces. The plenum-rated case is UL-listed for use in air-handling ceiling spaces.
Product Description
The Access V has been Draper's benchmark ceiling-recessed motorized screen for commercial AV integrators for over two decades. The "case now, screen later" installation method allows the housing to be set during construction rough-in, protecting the screen surface from jobsite damage until finish AV work. The motor-in-roller assembly drops in via preset latching roller brackets and electrical pin connectors once the case is in place.
The CineFlex White XT700V surface delivers a 0.7 gain with a 180° viewing angle — well suited for large HDTV-format installations in controlled-ambient rooms where the audience spans a wide seating range. At 220" diagonal in HDTV format, this screen is appropriate for high-capacity conference spaces, training rooms, and mid-size auditoriums where widescreen video content is the primary use case. Draper's tab-tensioning system maintains surface flatness across the full image area and is warranted against separation for five years.
The LVC-IV Low Voltage Controller enables integration with commercial AV control systems via low-voltage signal, without requiring 110V switching at the control device. The plenum-rated case meets UL requirements for air-handling ceiling spaces. Built-in control options can be factory-installed in the case. The case accommodates screens up to 20" wider than the standard case length, and custom sizes within the 16' maximum image width are available from Creation Networks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose HDTV 16:9 for a boardroom or training room?
The HDTV 16:9 format is native to most modern projectors, video conferencing cameras, and digital content sources. Using a native-format screen eliminates image scaling artifacts and makes the best use of the projector's resolution, particularly important at large image sizes like 220".
What AV control systems does the LVC-IV support?
Crestron, Extron, AMX, Control4, and most commercial platforms that output low-voltage relay or RS-232 signals. No proprietary gateway required.
Can the case be installed before the screen arrives?
Yes. The case installs during construction rough-in; the screen drops in later via preset latching brackets and pin connectors.
Is the Access V case plenum-rated?
Yes. UL-listed as "Suitable for Use in Environmental Air Space."
What is the CineFlex White XT700V surface best suited for?
The XT700V (0.7 gain, 180° viewing angle) is designed for controlled-ambient rooms where the audience spans a wide seating range. It works well with projectors of moderate to high lumen output at large image sizes.
