Product Overview
The Draper Access V is a motorized, tab-tensioned projection screen designed for ceiling-recessed installation in commercial AV environments. This configuration features a 208-3/8" 21:9 Ultrawide format image area with the ClearSound NanoPerf XT1000V viewing surface — a 1.0-gain acoustically transparent material that allows speaker audio to pass through the screen fabric, enabling in-wall or behind-screen speaker configurations. The 110V motor with standard 3-position switch suits AV systems where low-voltage control is integrated separately. The 21:9 Ultrawide format is suited for immersive large-format presentations, command center environments, and rooms displaying multi-source or side-by-side content. The plenum-rated case is UL-listed for use in air-handling ceiling spaces.
Product Description
The Access V has been Draper's benchmark ceiling-recessed motorized screen for commercial AV integrators for over two decades. The "case now, screen later" installation method allows the housing to be set during construction rough-in and the screen added at finish stage, protecting the surface from jobsite damage. The motor-in-roller assembly and screen drop in via preset latching roller brackets and electrical pin connectors once the case is in place.
The ClearSound NanoPerf XT1000V surface is designed specifically for AV systems where speakers are positioned behind the screen. The perforation pattern allows sound to pass through with minimal acoustic impact while maintaining a clean 1.0-gain image surface for the projector. This makes the surface particularly valuable in command center and auditorium installations where speaker placement behind the screen is an architectural or acoustic requirement. Draper's tab-tensioning system — cut from a single piece and RF-welded — maintains surface flatness across the full 208-3/8" ultrawide image area and is warranted against separation for five years.
The 21:9 Ultrawide format provides a substantially wider field of view than standard 16:9 or 16:10 formats, suited for multi-image display, side-by-side video conferencing content, or immersive single-source presentations. The plenum-rated case meets UL requirements for air-handling ceiling spaces. Low voltage, quiet motor, and video interface options can be factory-installed in the case. Custom sizes within the 16' maximum image width are available from Creation Networks.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does acoustically transparent mean, and when is ClearSound NanoPerf required?
An acoustically transparent surface allows speaker audio to pass through the screen fabric with minimal loss. The NanoPerf pattern achieves this while maintaining a clean projection surface. It is required when speakers are positioned directly behind the screen — a common configuration in auditoriums, command centers, and worship spaces where front-of-stage speaker placement is architecturally preferred.
Does the perforated surface affect image quality?
The NanoPerf pattern is engineered to minimize visible moiré and pixelation artifacts at typical projection throw distances. At normal viewing distances in commercial installations, image quality is not materially affected compared to a non-perforated surface.
Can the case be installed before the screen arrives?
Yes. The case installs during construction rough-in; the screen drops in later via preset latching brackets and pin connectors.
Is the Access V case plenum-rated?
Yes. UL-listed as "Suitable for Use in Environmental Air Space."
Can I add LVC-IV low voltage control to this configuration?
Yes. Low voltage and quiet motor options can be factory-installed in the case at time of order. Contact Creation Networks to specify the control option needed.
What is the warranty?
One year on the product; five years on tab tensioning. Contact Creation Networks for service support.
Are custom sizes available?
Yes. Within the 16' (488 cm) maximum image width. Contact Creation Networks for pricing.
