Product Overview

Cisco CTS-MX200-K9 is the TelePresence MX200 G2, a second-generation all-in-one room system that combines a 42-inch 1080p60 display, a PrecisionHD pan-tilt-zoom camera with 5x zoom, codec, loudspeakers and microphone in one unit, supplied with the Cisco Touch controller. It removes rack space, separate display procurement and most interconnect cabling from a room build. Cisco announced end-of-life on 1 November 2017 with end-of-sale on 2 May 2018 and a last date of support of 31 May 2023, and recommends the Cisco Room Bar Pro or Cisco Board Pro 55 G2 as replacements, so this listing serves installed-base and break/fix buyers.

Product Description

Mounting is the main integration decision on an MX200 G2, because everything else arrives in the box. Cisco publishes a wall mount kit (CTS-MX200-WMK=), a floor stand kit (CTS-MX200-FSK=), a table stand (CTS-MX200-TSK=) and a wheel base kit (CTS-MX200-WBK=) as separate part numbers, so the same system can be fixed to a wall or rolled between rooms.

For a wall installation Cisco publishes the numbers an installer actually needs: a total mounted weight of 26 kg (57 lb), of which 24 kg (53 lb) is the monitor; an envelope of 745 mm high by 995 mm wide by 150 mm deep; and a recommended mounting height of 1.2 m (47 in.) for regular meeting rooms. Cisco's installation sheet states that the wall and mounting hardware must be able to safely support the product and that installation should be carried out by qualified personnel in line with local building regulations.

Call capability is H.323 and SIP with bandwidth up to 6 Mbps point-to-point, and the units run Cisco TC and later Cisco Collaboration Endpoint software; Cisco published MX200 G2 and MX300 G2 administrator guides from TC7.1 through CE9.9. Because the last date of support passed on 31 May 2023, Cisco software maintenance, TAC support and service contract renewal are no longer available. Cisco has also withdrawn the MX200 G2 data sheet, so I/O counts, audio specifications, power figures and approvals are not published on any live Cisco page and are not stated here.
