Product Overview

Estates that bought Desk Mini units across several colour listings need to keep buying in those listings, and CS-DESKMINI-G-K9 is the one the distributor records as Woodland Green. Cisco documents only First Light gray and Carbon Black for the Desk Mini and lists this part number in its end-of-sale notice with no description, so the colour name carries no Cisco definition and no claim should be made about the finish beyond repeating it. The platform is end-of-sale: July 13, 2026 for end-of-sale, October 14, 2026 for last ship, and July 31, 2031 for last date of support, with the Desk Pro G2 named as the migration product. The device is the standard 15.6-inch portable endpoint.

Product Description

A mixed-listing fleet creates a practical problem at the end of a product's life, because the window to buy matching units closes for every listing at the same moment. Organisations in that position generally place one consolidated final order covering each listing they run rather than reordering piecemeal.

The endpoint itself is unchanged across listings. It runs Room OS 11 or later, registers through H.323 and SIP on VCS, SIP on Unified Communications Manager, or HTTP and REST APIs for Webex, and encodes video at full HD 1080p60 with a 4K 2160p15 content stream. A single USB-C cable extends the laptop display at 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps, forwards touch on supported operating systems and shares the camera, microphone and speakers with any software client.

Two limits define where a Desk Mini can go: no mounting accessory is published for it in any form, and USB-C is the only video input, with no HDMI input and no video output. Power is 60 W maximum from an external supply, not PoE, with 7.5 W networked standby and 0.3 W powered off. For the migration path and current alternatives, see the video conference systems and small room collaboration ranges of the Cisco collaboration portfolio.

Key Features

  • Distributor colour listing — The unit is listed as Woodland Green by the distributor. Cisco documents only First Light gray and Carbon Black for the Desk Mini. The end-of-sale notice lists this part number without a description, so the colour name is the distributor's wording and Cisco publishes no definition of the finish.
  • Closing order window — Cisco set end-of-sale on July 13, 2026 with a last ship date of October 14, 2026, so matching stock for every colour listing has the same deadline.
  • Integrated carry handle — Cisco states the Desk Mini is designed with an integrated handle that makes it easy to move from one room to another, so a single unit can serve several temporary or shared workspaces.
  • Documented signalling support — Cisco publishes H.323 and SIP through VCS, SIP through Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and HTTP and REST APIs for Webex, so the device fits an on-premises or a cloud estate.
  • 15.6-inch touch display on a fixed tilt — A 15.6-inch IPS 1080p projected capacitive multi-touch panel sits at an 11-degree fixed tilt with a 20 cm display height, keeping the camera at a usable eye line on a small desk.
  • 8MP camera with automatic framing controls — A 1/3.2-inch 8MP sensor at 64 degrees horizontal and 50 degrees vertical, f/2.0, with automatic tilt adjustment and automatic focus, brightness and white balance from 20 cm to infinity.
  • Wired and wireless network options — One 10/100/1000 RJ-45 port plus 802.11a/b/g/n/ac on 2.4 and 5 GHz with 2x2 MIMO allows deployment where structured cabling was never run.
  • Defined support runway — Cisco publishes end of software maintenance on July 13, 2028 and last date of support, including cloud support, on July 31, 2031, which lets a buyer weigh remaining useful life against the cost of migrating now.

Typical Applications

  • Commercial meeting space — mixed-listing fleets placing a consolidated final order.
  • Multi-purpose room — flexible spaces served by a portable endpoint.
  • Training room — instruction positions kept consistent with the installed fleet.
