Product Overview
The ChamSys MediaMaster Vision-SDI2 Card is a two-channel SDI video capture card that adds SDI input to MediaMaster VS4+ media servers running MediaMaster software. This SDI capture card lets a media server ingest and control two external video sources over BNC connectors at up to a 3Gb/s SDI bitrate. It suits broadcast video capture, live event IMAG, and touring production where SDI cabling and dual camera or playback feeds are standard. The Vision-SDI2 installs in a PCIe x8 slot and ships with a VS4+ rear panel adapter plate.
Product Description
The Vision-SDI2 Card captures two SDI inputs at up to 2048 x 1556 at 24fps or 1920 x 1080 at 60fps per channel, with a maximum SDI bitrate of 3Gb/s. It uses BNC connectors for input and output and supports frame rates spanning 23Hz through 60Hz, covering common HD and 2K broadcast formats over the long cable runs that SDI infrastructure allows.

Each channel has a user-defined update rate, with the captured frame rate matching the source provided the maximum data rate of 650 MB/s is not exceeded. Multi-buffering eliminates tearing artifacts during capture. The card handles RGB (5-5-5, 5-6-5, and 8-8-8 24/32-bit), YUV 4:2:2, and 8-bit mono sample formats, with 64 MB of frame buffer memory per channel (128 MB total). A PCIe x8 motherboard connection and the included VS4+ rear panel adapter plate support clean installation into a MediaMaster VS4+ chassis, feeding live SDI content into MediaMaster's playback, pixel mapping, and LED integration tools.
