Product Overview
The TOA TU-631 is a 30 W compression driver unit for paging and public address horn speakers, pairing with an optional TOA horn to form a complete weatherproof loudspeaker. This horn driver unit delivers highly intelligible voice announcements for outdoor and industrial environments. Its IP65-rated, powder-coated housing withstands rain, dust, and temperature swings on building exteriors and in transit facilities. The low-impedance 16-ohm design suits direct amplifier connection in distributed paging systems.
Product Description
Horn-loaded loudspeakers separate the driver from the horn so installers can match coverage to the site, and the TU-631 is the driver half of that system. It threads onto a compatible TOA horn such as the TH-650 or TH-660 using a standard 1-3/8 inch 18-thread coupling. 
The driver uses a heat-resistant polyimide-film diaphragm that resists moisture absorption and shape change, supporting consistent output over time. Rated at 30 W into 16 ohms, it produces a 110 dB sound pressure level at one watt and one meter when matched with a standard horn, with a 150 Hz to 6 kHz response tuned for speech clarity. The aluminum flange, ABS rear cover, and stainless steel screws give the unit an IP65 weatherproof rating for exposed mounting. An operating range of -20 °C to +60 °C covers most outdoor climates. For high-impedance 70 V or 100 V distributed lines, an optional matching transformer such as the TM-30T or TM-60T can be added.
