The CM890I combines an 8-inch high-efficiency woofer with a 1.42-inch titanium compression driver mounted to a proprietary cast-aluminum baffle and heat sink, creating a 2-way system with a 2.5 kHz crossover frequency. Frequency response extends from 62 Hz to 22 kHz (±10 dB) and 80 Hz to 22 kHz (±3 dB). The rapid-installation blind-mount fixed-wing SpeedWing™ constant-tension mechanism accommodates ceiling thicknesses from 0.25 inch to 1.91 inch without requiring access from above. A separate tool-free magnetic grille and bezel assembly with integrated safety cable allows the grille to be removed and painted in-field without damaging the speaker. Included accessories are a tile bridge, conduit plate, Euroblock connector, and paint mask/installation aid. Optional accessories include a metal white grille (GRL-CM6/8-WH-1), weather-guard grille, flangeless grille, pre-construction bracket, and junction box.
