Product Overview
The DBX ZC-FIRE is a wall-mounted fire safety interface for dbx ZonePRO distributed audio processors, designed to trigger automatic audio muting or emergency scene recall when a building fire alarm system activates. Compatible with ZonePRO 640/641/1260/1261, the ZC-FIRE accepts a relay contact closure or control voltage input from the fire alarm panel and delivers the appropriate safety response to the audio system instantly and reliably.
Product Description
Code compliance in commercial audio installations often requires that background music and paging systems mute automatically when a fire alarm condition is detected. The DBX ZC-FIRE provides this interface between a building fire alarm system and the ZonePRO processor, without requiring any software configuration on the fire alarm side. When the ZC-FIRE receives a trigger from the fire alarm panel - via a dry contact closure or control voltage input - it instructs the connected ZonePRO processor to mute all audio output or recall a designated emergency scene. When the alarm clears, the ZonePRO returns to normal operation. The ZC-FIRE installs in a standard single-gang electrical box with an included wall plate and connects to the ZonePRO via CAT5 or CAT5E cable. Available at Creation Networks.
