Product Overview
The Crestron TST-902-DSW-BB is a recess wall-mounted metal back box for the TST-902-DSW and TST-1080-DSW wall docks. It is designed for preconstruction applications and can be fastened to the left or right-hand stud of a framed wall prior to drywall installation. Conduit knockouts are provided on the top and bottom of the box for routing Class 2 wiring. A blank cover plate is included to temporarily cover the opening during construction.
Product Description
The TST-902-DSW-BB provides a clean, recessed in-wall enclosure that lets a TST-902-DSW or TST-1080-DSW wall dock sit flush within a framed wall. Because it mounts to a wall stud before the drywall goes up, the back box is suited to new construction and major renovation projects where the wall cavity is still open. The integral stud-mounting flange on the front mounting plate secures the box to the framing, and the metal construction provides a durable housing for the dock.
Conduit knockouts on the top and bottom of the box accommodate Class 2 low-voltage cabling, keeping wiring concealed within the wall. The included blank metal cover plate protects the opening through the remainder of the construction phase until the wall dock is installed. For installations into finished walls or masonry, separate postconstruction kits and an international back box are offered.
