Product Overview
The Draper Profile+ 208 3/8-inch 21:9 Ultrawide fixed frame projection screen (part number 254294CB) combines a panoramic ultrawide format with the CineFlex CH1200V rear projection surface. It is designed for boardrooms, broadcast studios, and government briefing spaces where a rear projection screen installation keeps the projector, its noise, and its light path out of the audience area. The lightweight Profile+ frame installs at under 2 inches deep with a borderless or slim-bezel finish, giving AV system designers a wide-format canvas for dual-content layouts and immersive visuals.
Product Description
The 21:9 ultrawide projection format gives commercial AV designers significantly more horizontal real estate than 16:9, making the 254294CB well suited to side-by-side content windows, dashboards, timelines, and wide scenic backdrops. At a 208 3/8" diagonal, the image area works out to approximately 81" high by 192" wide (about 6.75 by 16 feet) based on the screen's diagonal and format. The CineFlex CH1200V viewing surface is engineered for rear projection: the projector sits behind the screen, so presenters never cast shadows, projector noise stays out of the room, and the equipment remains secure and out of sight. Rear projection also performs well in spaces with controlled but non-dark lighting, which is common in broadcast studio sets and operations briefing rooms. Like all Profile+ screens, it ships unassembled for easier transport through elevators and corridors, assembles with Draper's sliding hook-and-loop attachment system, and can be specified borderless or with a slim 5/8" (16 mm) bezel trim. Wall brackets are included, flown brackets are available on request, and the mullion-less frame supports zero-gap multi-screen arrays. As a passive fixed frame, the screen itself requires no power or control wiring, simplifying commercial AV integration. Compare front-projection ultrawide options in our Draper projection screen collection.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much space is needed behind a rear projection screen?
Throw distance depends on the projector and lens. Short-throw and ultra-short-throw lenses, or mirror-fold systems, can reduce the rear projection cavity substantially. Creation Networks can help engineer the throw path for your room.
Why choose rear projection over front projection?
Rear projection removes presenter shadows, keeps projector noise and heat out of the audience space, and protects equipment in public or high-traffic environments such as studios and briefing rooms.
Can this screen be used for front projection?
The CineFlex CH1200V surface is a rear projection material. If you need front projection in 21:9, see the companion model 254294FB with the Grey XH600V surface.
What does the 21:9 format do for a boardroom?
It provides room to show two full content windows side by side, such as video conferencing plus shared documents, without switching layouts.
How is the screen installed?
It ships unassembled, assembles on site with Draper's sliding hook-and-loop system, and mounts to the wall with the included brackets or can be flown with optional flown brackets. Mounting fasteners are not included.
Does the screen require power or control wiring?
No. It is a passive fixed frame screen; only the projector requires power, signal, and control integration.
What warranty applies?
Draper provides a 5-year warranty valid in the United States and Canada, and Creation Networks supports your deployment before and after the sale.
