Timelines vary by project size and complexity:

• Single room or small conference suite: 2–4 weeks
• Mid-size project (boardroom, classroom, training center): 4–8 weeks
• Large or multi-room campus project: 8–16 weeks

Our early involvement in the design phase (ideally during schematic design) dramatically shortens overall project delivery and reduces change orders.

Every design package includes:

• Functional system description
• Single-line signal flow diagrams (CAD)
• Detailed equipment rack elevations
• Complete Bill of Materials (BOM) with pricing
• Scope of work and performance specifications
• AV infrastructure and conduit requirements
• Power and heat load calculations

All documentation is delivered in both PDF and native CAD formats.

The earlier the better. We recommend involving us during Schematic Design (SD) or early Design Development (DD). Early engagement allows us to coordinate AV infrastructure with architecture, electrical, and IT teams — saving significant cost and avoiding costly field changes later.

Design fees typically range from 8%–15% of the total AV system budget, depending on project complexity. This is significantly less expensive than change orders during construction. We also offer fixed-fee design packages once we understand scope.
