The ScreenBeam SBUSBSW4 USB Pro Switch is an intelligent USB peripheral switching solution designed to work with the ScreenBeam 1100 Plus to add BYOM (Bring Your Own Meeting) wireless conferencing capability to Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) deployments. It automates switching of room AV peripherals—cameras, microphones, and speakers—between the dedicated MTR system and a BYOM laptop session, allowing both the UC room device and wireless presenters to share the same room hardware without manual cable swapping. Compatible with Windows and macOS devices running the ScreenBeam Conference application.

Conference rooms with dedicated Microsoft Teams Room systems face a common deployment challenge: BYOM users who want to run their own meeting application using the room's camera, microphone, and speaker cannot do so without reconfiguring or disconnecting the existing MTR hardware. The ScreenBeam USB Pro Switch resolves this by automating USB peripheral handoff between the MTR unit and a BYOM session initiated through the ScreenBeam 1100 Plus.

When a BYOM user connects their laptop wirelessly via ScreenBeam Conference, the USB Pro Switch automatically routes the room's USB camera, microphone, and speaker to the laptop, making the peripherals available to Teams, Zoom, or any UC application. When the BYOM session ends, the switch returns peripheral control to the MTR system automatically—no manual intervention or cable management required.

The USB Pro Switch also enables touch annotation on interactive displays beyond what standard MTR solutions support. ScreenBeam natively supports Microsoft Windows Ink across Office 365 through a co-engineering partnership with Microsoft, so BYOM presenters can annotate on the room's interactive display with their wireless session and have those markups captured on their laptop in real time. The unit ships with hook-and-loop fasteners for flexible mounting on or near the display or MTR hardware, and draws power from USB rather than requiring a separate power outlet.
