The NP40ZL serves the short-throw position in the lens series for the NP-PA653U/PA803U/PA853W/PA903X PA series projector platforms. With a 0.79-1.14:1 throw range and f/2-2.5 aperture, focal length 13.3-18.6mm, it covers projection distances appropriate for mid-depth rooms where a standard-throw lens would require more distance. At a 100-inch-wide screen, the NP40ZL positions the projector approximately 5.7 to 8.2 feet away. Motorized zoom and focus allow setup adjustments from the projector remote after ceiling installation, reducing the need for ladder access during commissioning.
