The Chief CMS393 is a 16-inch (406 mm) dual joist ceiling mount adapter that anchors a display or projector column across two ceiling joists. It is built for commercial AV ceiling installations that need placement flexibility and secure structural attachment. The plate includes built-in lateral shift, integrated cable management, and is 1.5" NPT compatible.
Product Description
The CMS393 dual joist ceiling adapter gives integrators the placement flexibility that single-point ceiling plates cannot. By spanning 16 inches (406 mm) across two joists, it distributes load and lets the installer position the column where the room layout requires rather than where a single joist happens to fall. A built-in lateral shift adds fine adjustment after the plate is mounted, helping center the display or projector. Integrated cable management routes cables out the top of the plate through a dedicated cable exit port for a clean look. The plate uses Chief's All-Points Security System, with exclusive locking hardware at the column connection point to protect against theft. Aluminum construction keeps the assembly strong yet lightweight, and the plate is 1.5" NPT compatible for standard Chief columns. It is TAA-compliant for U.S. government and public-sector procurement.
