The Extron DTP3 T 101 D is a one-gang decorator-style transmitter for sending HDMI up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded CAT 6A cable. It supports video resolutions up to 4K/60 @ 4:4:4 and complies with HDCP 2.3. For maximum image quality and minimal latency, all supported video resolutions are transported without compression. The wallplate transmitter includes many Extron technologies, such as EDID Minder^® that ensures the source powers up properly and reliably outputs content for display. Also, it can be remotely powered by a DTP3‑enabled product over the twisted pair connection, streamlining installation. The compact wall-mountable design of the DTP3 T 101 D provides the convenience of placing an HDMI input connection precisely where it is needed.

The HDCP 2.3-compliant DTP3 T 101 D enables the reliable transmission of HDMI signals, supporting 18 Gbps, HDR, Deep Color up to 12‑bit, 3D, and embedded HD lossless audio formats. In addition, DDC communication of EDID is continuously maintained between a source and display, ensuring direct compatibility and optimal signal transmission between devices. The transmitter is also compatible with a broad range of multi-channel audio signals, providing reliable operation with HDMI sources.

Features that Streamline Integration

The twisted pair transmitter provides other convenient, integrator-friendly features designed to help simplify installation. In addition to the capability of being remotely powered over the shielded CAT 6A cable, the DTP3 T 101 D can be configured to provide power to a connected DTP3 receiver, allowing both devices to share one power supply. The DTP3 output can be configured for compatibility with HDBaseT‑enabled displays to send HDMI signals up to 330 feet (100 meters) over the same twisted pair cable.

The DTP3 T 101 D mounts in an included one-gang decorator-style wallplate that fits a standard US one‑gang size junction box. The wall‑mountable form factor of the DTP3 T 101 D allows for discreet placement in walls, lecterns, and floor boxes.

Extron recommends Extron-certified XTP DTP 22 shielded twisted pair cable, shielded RJ‑45 plugs, jacks, and couplers engineered for optimum signal transmission with Extron DTP Series products. The cable is certified to 475 MHz and utilizes an SF/UTP design with four unshielded 22 AWG twisted pair conductors inside an overall braid and foil shield for superior performance and noise immunity.
