vizrt-nrs8-96tb-configured-nrs8
Vizrt NRS8-96TB-Configured – NRS8 96TB Short-Depth NDI Shared Storage

What is the Vizrt NRS8-96TB-Configured?

The Vizrt NRS8-96TB-Configured is an NRS8 system from Vizrt's NRS (Network Remote Storage) family, supplied in a configured 96TB build. It is NDI-native shared storage that records, stores and shares live production media, with media asset management, transcoding and remote workflow tools included. It suits broadcast, enterprise and education teams that capture TriCaster and NDI sources and need editors working on the same media.

How does the Vizrt NRS8-96TB-Configured work?

Vizrt NRS is NDI-native shared storage. Operators can preview each NDI source on the network, then start and stop recordings directly to the server, capturing multiple sources simultaneously. Recordings from TriCaster, Viz 3Play, the Viz Connect Studio I/O module and other NDI streams land as growing files, so editors can begin cutting while the event is still being recorded, using applications that support growing files such as Adobe Premiere Pro with NDI Tools.

The included software suite covers media asset management (ShareBrowser, unlimited users), an automations engine for transcoding and file transfer, sync and backup to a second server or cloud storage, proxy and remote editing workflows, and an API for custom integration. That lets one storage system serve pre-production, live capture and post-production for a broadcast studio, campus media team or corporate video department.

The NRS8 is Vizrt's short-depth (18 inch) 4RU model with redundant power supplies, SSD and HDD configurations, up to 10GbE networking included, and support for one NRS16 EXP expansion chassis, which makes it a fit for shallow racks and mobile or flypack builds.
