It protects every load on a dedicated branch at the panel level, which suits equipment rooms, broadcast spaces and AV rack feeds where plug-in protection is impractical. It is the 230V companion to the SurgeX SX-20NE-RT.

How does the SurgeX SX-N240 work?

Installed by an electrician on the branch circuit, the SX-N240 uses SurgeX non-sacrificial surge elimination to stop surge energy before it reaches outlets downstream. Because protection happens on the circuit rather than at each device, every receptacle on that branch is covered, including ones added later. This is a common approach for dedicated AV circuits feeding racks, displays and amplifiers in conference rooms, auditoriums and control rooms. For 120V branch filtering, see the SurgeX PF-420.

What are the key features of the SurgeX SX-N240?

Hardwired installation — Protection lives on the branch circuit, covering every outlet it feeds.

230V/20A rating — Built for 230V circuits.

Non-sacrificial design — SurgeX components are built not to degrade with each surge.

Commercial-grade build — Designed for equipment rooms, broadcast and AV infrastructure.

Where is the SurgeX SX-N240 typically used?

Broadcast studio

Auditorium

Government space

House of worship

Technical Specifications

Model

SX-N240

Electrical rating

230V/20A

Connection

Hardwired

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the SurgeX SX-N240 require an electrician?

Yes.
