It accepts a -10 dBV unbalanced or +4 dBu balanced line signal on a rear-panel detachable terminal block, with front-panel user level control, making it a clean choice for paging, program audio and local monitoring in offices, lobbies and meeting rooms.

How does it work?

The DS-PSP1 accepts a -10 dBV unbalanced or +4 dBu balanced line signal on its rear-panel detachable terminal block and runs from a ground-referenced 24 Vdc supply such as the RDL PS-24AX 24 Vdc power supply. A high-efficiency Class D amplifier rated at 2 W RMS drives a driver built from materials found in larger premium speakers, and an analog compressor/limiter allows higher average output without clipping. Occupants adjust the amplified level with a front-panel volume control. The sealed steel enclosure provides full baffling, internal filtering rolls off out-of-band frequencies, and dispersion covers nearly 180 degrees when wall mounted, with 81 dB maximum SPL and a nominal 150 Hz to 20 kHz range.
