It gives presenters and room users volume and mute control from a single wall location.

How does it work?

The panel connects to the 3-wire control input of an RDL VCA product, normally over a single shielded pair, and a long-life linear 10 kΩ potentiometer sets the control voltage. Ten graphic increments around the knob show the level setting, and the MUTE button alternately mutes and unmutes the audio. The MUTE LED glows red when muted (0 V dc output) and green when active, and a 25 mA open-collector MUTE output is provided. Use it with VCA-equipped amplifiers such as the RU-PA40D, and finish the install with the CP-1B cover plate.

What are the key features?

Level and mute in one panel — A single-turn rotary control and a mute button share one Decora panel.

Red/green mute indicator — The LED shows at a glance whether the audio is muted or active.

Direct VCA connection — The panel interfaces directly with RDL VCA modules over a 3-wire control input.

RJ45 or discrete wiring — Connections land on a detachable terminal block for RJ45 or discrete cable.

Compact depth — The panel is 1.44 in deep without the knob for standard US electrical boxes.
