It licenses Insight Instant VPN, Netgear's cloud-configured site-to-site and remote VPN service for Insight managed routers, for one VPN group across a 36-month term. Insight Pro customers buy Insight VPN plans through value-added resellers and distributors, which is how Creation Networks supplies it. It is a non-physical electronic subscription.

How does the Netgear NPVNY3L1-10000S work?

An administrator creates a VPN group in the Insight Cloud Portal or app and adds routers to it. Per Netgear, each VPN license supports a VPN group of up to three routers, and each router supports up to ten users. The three-year term suits a stable multi-site layout, such as a headquarters and two branch offices, where you would rather not renew every year. Netgear lists its Pro routers, including the Netgear PR460X 10G/Multi-Gigabit Dual WAN Pro Router and the PR60X, among the routers covered by Insight Instant VPN.
