It decodes NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX, HX2 and HX3 as well as SRT, RTSP, RTMP, HLS, HTTP and MPEG-TS. In a Modator 2U chassis it delivers up to ten dual-output decoders in two rack units, feeding both displays and SDI production equipment.

How does the Magewell Pro Convert for NDI to AIO Module work?

The module installs in a Modator 2U slot and draws power and cooling from the chassis. It discovers NDI sources across the network, decodes the selected stream with SpeedHQ, H.264 or H.265 video and AAC or MP3 audio, and drives HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs at the same time, so one source can feed a display and an SDI switcher or recorder together.

Each module has its own network connection and web interface, and is managed through the chassis touchscreen, Magewell Control Hub or HTTP APIs. Hot-swap design lets a single decoder be replaced without interrupting the others.

What are the key features of the Magewell Pro Convert for NDI to AIO Module?

Dual HDMI and SDI output — Decodes one stream to HDMI and 3G-SDI at the same time.

NDI and stream decoding — Decodes NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX/HX2/HX3, SRT, RTSP, RTMP, HLS and MPEG-TS.

Up to 1080p60 — Outputs full HD on both interfaces.

Hot-swappable — Replaces without powering down the chassis.

Central management — Web UI, chassis touchscreen, Control Hub and HTTP APIs.

Where is the Magewell Pro Convert for NDI to AIO Module typically used?

Broadcast studio

Government space

House of worship

Auditorium

Technical Specifications

<colgroup>
<col style="width:40%">
<col style="width:60%">
</colgroup>

Decoded streams

NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX/HX2/HX3, SRT, RTSP, RTMP, HLS, HTTP, MPEG-TS

Codecs

SpeedHQ, H.264, H.265; AAC, MP3

Video outputs

HDMI and 3G-SDI simultaneously, up to 1080p60

Network

Gigabit Ethernet per module

Management

Web UI, Modator touchscreen, Magewell Control Hub, HTTP APIs

Host chassis

Magewell Modator 2U (required)

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work without the chassis?
No. It requires the Magewell Modator 2U.
