kramer-87-000890-via-connect3
Kramer VIA Connect3 – Compact 4K Wireless Presentation System

What is the Kramer VIA Connect3?

The Kramer VIA Connect3 is a compact and secure 4K wireless presentation and collaboration solution. At about 9 x 9 cm, it installs almost anywhere, offers built-in Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity and uses 1024-bit encryption for secure use on the internal network. It gives iOS, Android, Chromebook, PC and Mac users instant wireless sharing in small to mid-size meeting rooms, classrooms and hybrid workspaces.

How does the Kramer VIA Connect3 work?

Users share content through the Kramer VIA app or by mirroring with AirPlay on iOS and Miracast on Windows and Android, with Chromebook mirroring also supported. Four participants can present content simultaneously, and an HDMI input lets a wired source present at the same time as wireless users. Video in and out runs at up to 4K@30Hz on an HDMI 2.0 output, with content streaming and video playback.

Dual Wi-Fi allows a guest access point and Miracast connections at the same time, alongside a Gigabit LAN port and Bluetooth. The VIA Connect3 is optimized for video conferencing using room peripherals, which Kramer calls VIA Room Devices, connected to its USB 3.0 ports, and it can launch third-party web applications. Security includes 802.1x user authentication, 1024-bit encryption and a dynamic room code, and centralized cloud management is available with VSM Cloud. The aluminum enclosure has a fan with heat sink and a Kensington lock slot, and runs from a 12V DC supply.

Related VIA products include the Kramer VIA GO3 and the Kramer VIA Connect2.

What are the key features of the Kramer VIA Connect3?

Compact 4K design — About 9 x 9 cm with 4K@30 input and output.

Wired and wireless — HDMI input for simultaneous wired and wireless presentation.

Four simultaneous presenters — Up to four participants share at once.

AirPlay and Miracast — Native mirroring from common devices.

Dual Wi-Fi — Guest access point and Miracast at the same time.

Video conferencing ready — Uses room USB peripherals as VIA Room Devices.

Strong security — 802.1x, 1024-bit encryption and dynamic room code.

VSM Cloud management — Centralized cloud management.

Where is the Kramer VIA Connect3 typically used?

Huddle room

Conference room

Training room

Commercial meeting space

Technical Specifications

<colgroup>
<col style="width:38%">
<col style="width:62%">
</colgroup>

Inputs / Ports

1 HDMI; 1 Gigabit LAN; 3 USB 3.0

Output

1 HDMI 2.0

Max Resolution

Up to 4K@30Hz input and output

Wireless

Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n dual band; Bluetooth

Operating System

Linux

Simultaneous Presenters

4

Security

802.1x authentication; 1024-bit encryption; dynamic room code

Power

12V DC, 3.8A

Enclosure

Aluminum, fan with heat sink, Kensington lock

Dimensions

3.54" x 3.54" x 1.42"

Weight

0.6 lbs (0.3 kg) approx.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which devices can share to the VIA Connect3?

iOS, Android, Chromebook, PC and Mac devices, through the VIA app, AirPlay or Miracast.

How many people can present at once?

Four participants can present content simultaneously.

Can it be used for video conferencing?

Yes.
