kramer-60-80223099-pt-1c
Kramer PT-1C – 4K HDR HDMI EDID Processor

What is the Kramer PT-1C HDMI EDID processor?

The Kramer PT-1C is a 4K HDR HDMI EDID processor that sits inline between a source and a display. It locks EDID and lets the installer choose whether HDCP, multichannel audio or deep color are supported, so a source only sends formats the display chain can handle. It is a simple fix for blank screens, wrong resolutions and audio dropouts caused by EDID mismatches.

How does the Kramer PT-1C work?

The PT-1C has one HDMI input and one HDMI output and passes signals up to 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 at 17.82Gbps, with HDR10 and HDCP 2.2. Four DIP-switches set its behavior: lock the EDID presented to the source, and enable or disable HDCP, multichannel audio and deep color.

That makes it useful for keeping new sources working on older displays and infrastructure, and as a troubleshooting aid when commissioning a room. The unit takes its power from the HDMI line, so no power supply is needed, and a power LED confirms operation.

What are the key features of the Kramer PT-1C?

EDID lock — Presents a fixed EDID to the source for predictable output.

Selectable HDCP, audio and deep color — Four DIP-switches match the source to the display.

4K@60Hz 4:4:4 — Up to 17.82Gbps (5.94Gbps per data channel).

HDR10 and HDCP 2.2 — Compatible with current HDMI content.

Line powered — Draws power from the HDMI line, so no power supply is needed.

Compact enclosure — Fits behind displays or inside furniture.

Technical Specifications

<colgroup>
<col style="width:40%">
<col style="width:60%">
</colgroup>

Input

1 HDMI

Output

1 HDMI

Max data rate

17.82Gbps (5.94Gbps per data channel)

Max resolution

4K@60Hz (4:4:4)

Standards

HDR10, HDMI, HDCP 2.2

Controls

4 DIP-switches

Indicator

Power LED

Power

Taken from the HDMI line

Operating temperature

0° to +40°C (32° to 104°F)

Dimensions

6.22 x 5.18 x 2.44cm (2.45 x 2.04 x 0.96in) W, D, H

Weight

0.1kg (0.2lbs) approx.

Related Kramer signal tools include the Kramer PT-101H2 4K HDR HDMI repeater for longer cable runs and the Kramer PT-12 HDMI controller for simple display control.
