A presenter connects a laptop with one USB-C cable and the transmitter sends everything to a compatible receiver at the display or rack. It is a standalone alternative to a wall plate for BYOD conference rooms and hybrid classrooms.

How does the Kramer EXT3-C-XR-T work?

The EXT3-C-XR-T converts all of its input signals into a single HDBaseT 3.0 stream over copper CAT cable. Uncompressed 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 video with HDCP 2.3 is passed to the far end, along with multichannel audio and EDID handled by Kramer I-EDIDPro intelligent EDID processing.

USB 2.0 is extended between both ends, so the connected laptop can use a USB camera, speakerphone or HID device at the receiver side, the basic requirement for a BYOD hybrid meeting room. Ethernet, bidirectional RS-232 and IR are carried on the same cable for network access and device control.

The transmitter supplies up to 60W of USB-C charging from its 20V DC power adapter, and a display on/off control lets the presenter power the room display. LED indicators simplify local maintenance and troubleshooting.

What are the key features of the Kramer EXT3-C-XR-T?

USB-C BYOD input — One cable carries laptop video, USB and charging.

Uncompressed 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 — 18Gbps with HDCP 2.3 for current laptops and displays.

Up to 100m reach — Extended-reach HDBaseT 3.0 over CAT copper cable.

60W USB-C charging — Keeps the presenter's laptop powered during the meeting.

USB 2.0 extension — Reaches remote cameras, audio devices and HID peripherals.

Ethernet, RS-232 and IR — Network and control signals share the same cable.

I-EDIDPro — Kramer intelligent EDID processing for plug-and-play operation.

Display power control — Turns the room display on and off from the transmitter.

Where is the Kramer EXT3-C-XR-T typically used?

Conference room

Boardroom

Huddle room

Training room

Commercial meeting space

Technical Specifications

<colgroup>
<col style="width:40%">
<col style="width:60%">
</colgroup>

Input

1 USB-C

Extension

HDBaseT 3.0, up to 100m (330ft)

Max data rate

18Gbps (6Gbps per graphic channel)

Max resolution

4K@60Hz (4:4:4), 24bpp

Content protection

HDCP 2.3

HDMI support

4K as specified in HDMI 2.0b

Extended signals

USB 2.0, Ethernet, RS-232, IR

Power adapter

20V DC, 6A; 88W max

USB-C charging

Up to 60W

Operating temperature

0° to +40°C (32° to 104°F)

Weight

0.6kg (1.2lbs) approx.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which receiver works with the EXT3-C-XR-T?

Kramer pairs it with the EXT3-POE-XR-R HDBaseT 3.0 receiver for USB, Ethernet and control extension.
