kramer-20-80593090-swt3-21-h
Kramer SWT3-21-H – 2x1 4K60 HDMI Auto Switcher

What is the Kramer SWT3-21-H HDMI switcher?

The Kramer SWT3-21-H is an intelligent 2x1 automatic HDMI switcher for 4K60 4:4:4 video, with priority or last-connected auto-switching based on active signal detection and remote IP-driven management. It is a plug-and-play 4K HDMI auto switcher for meeting rooms and classrooms where two sources share one display, and it can be powered over PoE from the LAN port for a clean installation.

How does the Kramer SWT3-21-H work?

When a presenter connects a laptop, the SWT3-21-H detects the active HDMI signal and routes it to the display according to the configured rule, either input priority or last connected. HDMI switching is HDCP 2.2 compliant at up to 18Gbps, and Kramer I-EDIDPro intelligent EDID processing handles, locks and passes EDID so sources and displays work together without manual setup. Up to 32 channels of uncompressed digital audio pass through, and the audio on the HDMI output is also de-embedded to a balanced stereo analog output for a room amplifier or DSP.

The switcher can turn a CEC-enabled or serially controlled display on and off when a source is plugged in or removed, with a user-defined shutdown delay. Its built-in control gateway lets an IP controller send RS-232 or I/O commands to connected devices, and six GPIO pins can trigger configured functions from remote contact-closure buttons. Operation is available through a browser web page, local panel buttons and IP control, with 802.1x authentication for secured IT network connection. The compact DemiTOOLS fan-less enclosure can be powered by PoE or the included 5V DC supply.

For rooms with more sources, the Kramer VS-411X 4x1 HDMI auto switcher is a related option, and the Kramer EXT3-21-XR-TR switcher extender adds HDBaseT 3.0 extension and USB.

What are the key features of the Kramer SWT3-21-H?

Auto switching — Selects the source automatically by priority or last-connected input.

4K60 4:4:4 HDMI — 18Gbps HDMI switching with HDCP 2.2 compliance.

I-EDIDPro — Intelligent EDID handling, locking and pass-through for plug-and-play operation.

Audio de-embedding — HDMI audio is also sent to a balanced stereo analog output.

Display on/off control — Powers CEC or serially controlled displays with the source, with a shutdown delay.

Built-in control gateway — IP-driven control of connected devices via RS-232 or I/O.

Secured network operation — 802.1x authentication for IT LAN connection.

PoE powering — Powered from the LAN port, in a compact fan-less DemiTOOLS enclosure.

Where is the Kramer SWT3-21-H typically used?

Huddle room

Conference room

Training room

Commercial meeting space

Technical Specifications

<colgroup>
<col style="width:38%">
<col style="width:62%">
</colgroup>

Inputs

2 HDMI (female HDMI connectors)

Outputs

1 HDMI;
