kramer-20-80590090-swt3-41-u-t
Kramer SWT3-41-U-T – 4x1 USB Switcher Transmitter

What is the Kramer SWT3-41-U-T USB switcher transmitter?

The Kramer SWT3-41-U-T is a 4x1 USB switcher transmitter with two USB-C and two USB-B host ports. It auto-switches local peripherals and remote peripherals, connected over CAT links, to the active USB host. It suits larger meeting spaces where the camera, microphone or speakerphone sit away from the host computers.

How does the Kramer SWT3-41-U-T work?

Laptops and room PCs connect to the USB-C or USB-B host ports, and the SWT3-41-U-T detects the active host and connects the room's USB peripherals to it. Peripherals can be attached locally or at a remote point reached over the unit's two CAT extension outputs, so a camera at the display wall and a microphone at the table can both follow the presenter's laptop. Kramer describes this as a cost-effective dual-link USB extension deployment.

A balanced stereo analog audio input lets the unit extend audio alongside USB, and a PoE-accepting Ethernet port provides LAN connection. Auto-switching, flexible control options and secured, manageable operation support corporate and education deployments. It runs from a 20V DC supply.

For simpler point-to-point USB extension, see the Kramer KDS-USB2 extension kit; for HDMI and USB switching with extension, see the Kramer EXT3-21-XR-TR.

What are the key features of the Kramer SWT3-41-U-T?

Four USB hosts — Two USB-C and two USB-B host connections.

Local and remote peripherals — Switches both local devices and devices reached over CAT links.

Dual-link USB extension — Two CAT outputs for remote peripheral locations.

Auto-switching — Peripherals follow the active host automatically.

Audio extension — Balanced stereo analog input for extending audio.

Network connection — PoE-accepting Ethernet port for LAN connection and management.

Where is the Kramer SWT3-41-U-T typically used?

Conference room

Boardroom

Training room

Multi-purpose room

Technical Specifications

<colgroup>
<col style="width:38%">
<col style="width:62%">
</colgroup>

Host Inputs

2 USB-C and 2 USB-B USB host ports

Audio Input

1 stereo analog balanced audio (5-pin terminal block) for audio extension

Outputs

2 CAT (RJ-45) for extension lines

Ports

1 PoE-accepting Ethernet (RJ-45) for LAN connection and extension over CAT links

Power

20V DC, 3.8A

Weight

1.9 lbs (0.8 kg) approx.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the SWT3-41-U-T and SWT3-41-U?

The SWT3-41-U-T adds CAT-link extension outputs so peripherals at remote points in the room can be switched along with local ones.

Does it need a compatible receiver?

Remote peripherals connect through a compatible Kramer receiver on the CAT link; Creation Networks can specify the right one.

Does it switch video?

No. It switches and extends USB peripherals and audio, and is used alongside a video switcher.

How is it controlled?

It auto-switches to the active host and offers flexible control options for room control systems.

What warranty and support are included?

Kramer's manufacturer warranty applies; Creation Networks designs, installs and supports the system.
