kramer-11-70240010-vm-24h
Kramer VM-24H – 2x1:4 HDMI Switchable Distribution Amplifier

What is the Kramer VM-24H distribution amplifier?

The Kramer VM-24H is a 2x1:4 HDMI switchable distribution amplifier. It reclocks and equalizes one of two selectable HDMI inputs and distributes it to four identical HDMI outputs. It is a rack-mount HDMI DA for presentation and multimedia systems, rental and staging, and any space where one selected source needs to reach several displays.

How does the Kramer VM-24H work?

Two HDMI sources connect to the VM-24H, and the selected input is reclocked, equalized and copied to all four outputs at up to 6.75Gbps (2.25Gbps per graphic channel). The unit is HDTV compatible and HDCP compliant, and supports HDMI deep color, x.v.Color, lip sync, CEC and 3D pass-through. An EDID pass-through algorithm keeps sources and displays working together with plug-and-play operation.

Input selection and EDID functions are available from front-panel EDID SELECT, EDID READ, IN 1 and IN 2 buttons, as well as RS-232 and IR switching for integration with a control system. Active output LEDs show which outputs are in use. The VM-24H uses a worldwide 100-240V AC power supply and a standard 19-inch 1U rack-mount chassis with rack ears included.

For a smaller footprint, see the Kramer VM-24HC compact switchable DA; for 4K HDR distribution, see the Kramer VM-4H2 1:4 4K HDR HDMI DA.

What are the key features of the Kramer VM-24H?

2x1:4 switchable distribution — Selects one of two inputs and feeds four outputs.

Reclocking and equalization — Restores the HDMI signal for reliable distribution.

HDCP compliant — Supports HDMI and HDCP.

HDMI features — Deep color, x.v.Color, lip sync, CEC and 3D pass-through.

EDID pass-through — Plug-and-play source and display compatibility.

Flexible control — Front panel, RS-232 and IR switching.

1U rack mount — Standard 19-inch chassis with rack ears included.

Where is the Kramer VM-24H typically used?

Conference room

Training room

Auditorium

House of worship

Technical Specifications

<colgroup>
<col style="width:38%">
<col style="width:62%">
</colgroup>

Inputs

2 HDMI

Outputs

4 HDMI

Max Data Rate

6.75Gbps (2.25Gbps per graphic channel)

Compliance

Supports HDMI and HDCP

Controls

EDID SELECT, EDID READ, IN 1, IN 2 buttons; RS-232; IR

Power

100–240V AC, 50/60Hz, 16VA

Enclosure

19" 1U rack mount, rack ears included

Weight

3.5 lbs (1.6 kg) approx.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the VM-24H switch between two sources?

Yes.
