The STARVIS chipset is Sony's custom-designed, low light / high sensitivity video sensor. Physically different than conventional video sensors and Sony engineered specifically for security observation under challenging light situations.
The B2012X takes full advantage of the STARVIS chip's capabilities by delivering sharp, auto-focused images through its wide-range 5.3 mm–64.0 mm power zoom lens system. This lens provides a 4° tight focus field of view to 58° wide-angle horizontal and 2° to 34° vertical field of view (FOV). This wide FOV range means it can be mounted on a convenient wall, pole, or structure viewing a gate, driveway, or entry area and then zoom in when needed for a close-up view. B2012X includes an audio in / audio out port and 2 alarm ports, making it ideal for gate and entry control situations.
