Each connector uses a 5.0 mm pitch and handles a four-conductor circuit such as two channels of amplified speaker output, or combined power and control wiring. Screw-lock flanges fasten the plug to the mating header so it cannot work loose under vibration or cable weight. Integrators keep the 100-464-01 on hand as spare stock for commercial AV installations and field service calls.

What does the Extron 100-464-01 do?

The 100-464-01 gives an installer a removable, screw-clamped termination for 4-conductor wiring on Extron products. Extron specifies its captive screw connectors for power, balanced or unbalanced line-level audio, IR or serial control, and amplified speaker output. Wires are stripped, inserted into the terminal, and clamped by a captive screw that stays in the housing, so there are no loose screws to drop inside a credenza, rack, or ceiling space.

Because the plug separates from the equipment, cable runs can be pre-terminated on a bench and landed in the rack in seconds during commissioning, and a failed device can be swapped without re-stripping any wire. The 5.0 mm version accepts 12 to 22 AWG wire, which covers heavier speaker and power conductors as well as standard control cable. The screw-lock design is a good fit for amplifier outputs and power connections where a plug pulling free would take a room offline. The table below lists every Extron captive screw connector version so you can match the right part to each port.

<table
