crestron-hz2-kpex-glass-w
Crestron HZ2-KPEX-GLASS-W – In-Wall Keypad, White Glass

Product Overview

The Crestron HZ2-KPEX-GLASS-W is a single-gang in-wall keypad with infiNET EX wireless communication, featuring a premium White Glass faceplate. It is designed for commercial and high-end residential AV, lighting, and scene control where a clean, modern aesthetic is a priority. The keypad operates at 120 VAC and communicates over Crestron's infiNET EX 2.4 GHz encrypted mesh network.

Product Description

The HZ2-KPEX-GLASS-W belongs to the Crestron Horizon 2 keypad family and distinguishes itself with a glass faceplate in white — a premium material choice that reads as architectural hardware rather than technology infrastructure. This makes it a natural fit for boardrooms, executive offices, hospitality properties, and any space where wall controls need to blend into high-specification interiors. Like all Horizon 2 infiNET EX keypads, it communicates wirelessly, removing the constraint of running dedicated keypad wiring to every control location. The standard engraved button legends provide clear, permanent labeling for scene, lighting, and AV functions.

Key Features

White Glass faceplate — premium material finish for high-specification commercial and residential interiors

infiNET EX 2.4 GHz encrypted wireless mesh — installs without dedicated control cabling at the device location

Standard engraved button legends for clear, durable function identification

Single-gang form factor — fits standard electrical box

120 VAC power input

Multi-button layout supports scene recall, lighting zone control, AV source selection, and volume adjustment

Consistent Horizon 2 family aesthetic — available across multiple finishes for mixed-environment deployments

Requires infiNET EX gateway (e.g., CEN-GWEXER) for system integration

Typical Applications

Executive boardrooms and C-suite offices requiring premium interior finishes

Luxury hotel rooms and suites with modern design standards

High-end residential great rooms, home theaters, and master suites

Corporate lobbies and reception areas with architect-specified interiors

Multi-zone commercial AV installations where aesthetic consistency is specified

Technical Specifications

Model: HZ2-KPEX-GLASS-W

Series: Crestron Horizon 2

Communication: infiNET EX 2.4 GHz encrypted wireless mesh

Power: 120 VAC

Form Factor: Single-gang in-wall

Finish: White Glass

Engraving: Standard engraved button legends

Gateway Required: Yes — infiNET EX gateway (sold separately)

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What makes the Glass finish different from the standard plastic finish options in the Horizon 2 line?
A: The Glass variant uses an actual glass faceplate rather than a painted or coated polymer surface. This gives it a harder, more reflective surface quality that reads as a premium material in finished interiors — similar to how glass switchplates are used in high-specification architectural projects.

Q: Does this model support custom button engraving?
A: The HZ2-KPEX-GLASS-W ships with standard engraved legends. For custom-specified button text, refer to the HZ2-KPEX-DRK-BRZ ENGRAVED or other custom-engraved variants in the Horizon 2 line.

Q: What gateway is required to use this keypad?
A: The HZ2-KPEX-GLASS-W requires an infiNET EX gateway, such as the Crestron CEN-GWEXER, connected to the Crestron control network. The gateway is sold separately and manages communication between the wireless keypads and the control processor.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0603/7982/4364/files/master_photo_a-HZ2-KPCN-W_FrontLeft15_718b6f28-d1c5-4994-b8ba-4ccfa243168f.png?v=1781802038
