It handles 150 W continuous (AES) power at 8 Ω, with 97 dB sensitivity and 123 dB maximum SPL. An IP54 ingress protection rating and a narrow 40° x 40° coverage pattern make it a practical choice for sports facilities, campuses, theme parks and event spaces where sound has to reach distant listening areas.

How does the AUDAC HS208MK2 8" horn loudspeaker work?

The HS208MK2 pairs a 1.3" compression driver with an 8" high-output woofer through a passive built-in crossover at 1.5 kHz, giving a 100 Hz – 18 kHz response (±3 dB) with clear, intelligible speech at low distortion. Its 40° horizontal and 40° vertical coverage concentrates energy on the target area, which is why AUDAC positions the HS series as a long-throw public address solution. The enclosure is a multi-layer glass composite with a textured EPDM black coating, and the front is a powder-coated aluminium grill with a lining. AUDAC places acoustic foam behind the grill to keep rain out of the driver, and the cabinet carries an IP54 rating for locations where humidity or moisture are present. Two heavy-duty speakON NLT4MPBAG connectors allow the signal to be linked through to additional cabinets. As an 8 Ω loudspeaker, it is driven from a low-impedance power amplifier channel. Where a 70/100 V distributed line or a higher IP65 rating is required, AUDAC recommends the HS208TMK2 instead.
