The built-in NetLinx controller manages the full system, and the higher expansion count supports more complex hybrid AV-over-IP integration scenarios.

Key Features

2+3 SVSI expansion slots — More AV-over-IP card positions than base N7142.

4K60 HDMI switching + SVSI network AV — Hybrid architecture for complex rooms.

Built-in NetLinx controller — Integrated AMX control system.

Competitor Comparison

Feature

AMX NMX-PRS-N7142-23

Crestron DM-MD8x8-CPU3

Extron DTP CrossPoint 108 4K

AV-over-IP Expansion Slots

✓ 2+3 SVSI slots

✗ No native AV-over-IP

✗ No native AV-over-IP

4K60 HDMI

✓ Yes

✓ Yes

✓ Yes

Built-in Controller

✓ NetLinx

✓ Crestron

✗ No

The NMX-PRS-N7142-23 is uniquely positioned as a hybrid HDMI + AV-over-IP switcher — a category that neither the Crestron DM-MD8x8 nor Extron DTP CrossPoint address without additional external AV-over-IP hardware.

Technical Specifications

Specification

Value

Video

4K60 HDMI + SVSI AV-over-IP

SVSI Slots

2+3 N-Series card positions

Controller

Built-in NetLinx

SKU

FGN7142-23
