It adds eight RackUltra FX engines to a dPack-enabled Avantis, giving engineers dLive-class vocal tuning, reverb designers, harmonisers and saturation without giving up any channels, busses or RackExtra FX slots.

How does the Allen & Heath Avantis RackUltra FX card work?

The card is a hardware module fitted inside the console by an Allen & Heath Authorised Service Centre. It powers eight stereo effects engines with dedicated sends and returns that run alongside the 12 RackExtra FX racks already on Avantis.

It enables the RackUltra FX collection of 10 algorithms, including Vocal Tuner, Vocal Gridder and Vocal Shifter, Spaces Reverb Designer and Plate Reverb Designer, harmonisers, Saturator and Amp+Cab Distortion. Each FX input and output has 4-band PEQ, plus compression, gating, expansion and ducking with sidechain. Allen & Heath states that RackUltra FX adds engines to dPack-enabled Avantis systems, so confirm dPack is active before ordering, or choose the AH-M-AV-ULTRAFX-DPACK-RUFX bundle.

What are the key features of the Allen & Heath AH-M-AV-ULTRAFX-RUFX?

8 RackUltra FX engines — Dedicated stereo sends and returns per engine.

No resource cost — Does not consume channels, busses or RackExtra FX slots.

Vocal processing — Vocal Tuner, Vocal Gridder and Vocal Shifter.

Reverb designers — Spaces and Plate reverb algorithms.

Tone shaping — Harmonisers, Saturator and Amp+Cab Distortion.

Built-in FX processing — PEQ and sidechain dynamics on every FX input and output.

Service-centre fitted — Installed by an Authorised Service Centre.

Where is the Allen & Heath AH-M-AV-ULTRAFX-RUFX typically used?

House of worship

Auditorium

Broadcast studio

All-hands room

Technical Specifications

<colgroup>
<col style="width:40%">
<col style="width:60%">
</colgroup>

Compatible console

Allen & Heath Avantis (dPack-enabled)

Includes

RackUltra FX card

RackUltra FX engines

8, dedicated stereo sends and returns

Algorithms

RackUltra FX collection (10 algorithms)

FX processing

4-band PEQ and sidechain dynamics on FX inputs and outputs

Installation

Authorised Service Centre

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my Avantis need dPack first?

Yes.
